Our first stop after exiting the Sunshine State is the great state of Georgia, known as the Peach State and home of former President, Jimmy Carter. Georgia is also home to one Jody Nichols, a peach in her own right! We are camping for a few days at beautiful Stone Mountain Park. We would love to say we’re here for the scenery but we actually arrived so that we could help Jody install kitchen cabinets in her new home. Oh Yeah, The fun never ends. We did have a wonderful time hanging out with Jody and we did get to spend a little time touring Stone Mountain.
Our next big adventure is Camp Freightliner. Two full, high intensity, days in the classroom to learn everything there is to know about our motorhome chassis! As you can imagine, there are no words to describe how excited Ellen is to attend! We actually enjoyed the class and all it has taught us. Now we have a better understanding of who to call when something breaks… 1-800-Freightliner.
Hey! We’re in the Carolinas! Let’s go visit Bea, Frank, and the kids! We jump into the Mini, drop the top and head out a couple hours to Holly Springs, NC. Bea, Frank, Nicholas and Erin are all excited to see us, it’s been a couple years since we last got together. WOW, the kids all grow up so fast! It's a great afternoon and a wonderful dinner and then jump back in the Cooper for the trip back over the border to Gaffney, SC.
We are all finished with Camp Freightliner and our annual maintenance is done but we hang out here a couple more days so that we can meet up with Denis and Joanne and enjoy a dinner together before continuing our journey home.
