We knew there would be a lot of Newmar Hoots at the Tampa Show, so we decided to have a Hoots Happy Hour at our motorhome on Friday. We ran the idea by a bunch of the Hoots a few weeks back and managed to rope in Jeff and Kaynell and Doug and Patty to help out. We were able to park together at the rally and luckily had a huge back yard area behind the coaches. I put signs up and everyone put the word out and we were blessed to have about 35 people attend. Jeff and Doug helped setup, Ellen baked up a bunch of dessert, Kaynell and Patty brought plenty of food and Bill Hunt even jumped in and grilled up some sausage.
We had current Hoots that were staying at the rally, some from nearby, and a few that flew in from Indiana, California, and other parts of the country to attend the show and party with us. We also had a whole bunch of people attend that had heard of the Hoots but had no idea of what a “Hoot” is! We even had the Bob and Bonnie, The Executive Directors of the Kountry Klub join us along with Linda from the office.
It was a Super Fun Time and I’m sure we’ll do it again next year!
