Once again, Marissa and Gary put on an excellent show along with a large cast of dedicated volunteers. Karl and I volunteer to operate the shuttle tram again this year and Ellen is helping out on the Golf Cart doing all sorts of critical errands.
We retired the tractor from pulling the tram and stepped up into a Jeep Wrangler instead. The Jeep worked great towing the crowd around the fairgrounds and it was much quieter than the tractor chug chugging along. I expect the Jeep to be the new standard tow vehicle going forward.
The cars were fabulous this year with a huge turnout on Saturday. Fan attendance was also huge on Saturday.
The most popular feature of this year’s car show was the downtown Car Cruise on Saturday night. Well over 200 classic, antique, and hot rods all got together and cruised down Shrewsbury Street to the delight of thousands of spectators. For the spectators, it was a great added bonus as they were already gathering in preparation for the city’s annual Fireworks Display.
