Second Stop - September 26th. We have left Traverse City and are heading south to Indiana. We have stopped at Hidden Ridge RV Park near Grand Rapids, Michigan so that we can meet up with cousin Leslie. Les meets us at the campground just after we arrive and is staying overnight with us. We take a car trip to Cranes Orchards, apple season is in full swing and this is where the action is! There is a live band outside playing Simon & Garfunkel and John Denver songs and doing pretty good at it. We step past the winery and into the restaurant for an easy supper and then jump back into the Mini for the trip back to the campground. Sunday morning brings some additional fun as we meet up for breakfast with Leslie's daughter Amy. Amy has just gotten engaged and she is beaming with excitement as she tells us of her wedding plans. It is a magical moment in time and we hope that we can adjust our travels and get back here next summer for the wedding.
First Stop - September 17th. We are on our way to Traverse City, Michigan for a Fall gathering of motorhomes. We have decided to stop and have some fun with the Michigan cousins along the way. We have chosen Camp Dearborn in Milford as our stopover location, it is quiet and peaceful during the off season and the price is reasonable. We get to meet up with Alison and Billy and Aunt Joan for a wonderful meal at their house. Aunt Joan just recently put her house up for sale and moved in with Al and Billy. Billy is having a great time with his Mustang convertible but it does have a new dent in the fender that he is not happy about. Gail recently moved to Portland, Maine and Leslie was unable to meet up with us but we will get to see her at the next family stop. Second Stop - September 26th.
